Senior environmental reporter for The Salt Lake Tribune, was awarded the 2001 Ford Environmental Journalism Fellowship by the International Center For Journalists to teach and report in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia. He has won numerous regional awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Associated Press.

Mary Hager


Mary Hager is a former award-winning correspondent and contributing editor for Newsweek who covered issues of science, medicine and the environment beginning in 1978. As one of the most respected journalists who has worked on the environment beat, Ms. Hager helps recruit Fellows and speakers for IJNR programs and assures that program content addresses the needs of news professionals. She also serves as treasurer for IJNR's Board of Trustees.

Rob Taylor

Responsible for developing and managing ICFJ's environmental journalism activities, including the Ford Environmental Journalism Fellowships. Has worked as a newspaper reporter for three decades, about half of that period covering environmental issues. Rob Taylor was a John S. Knight Fellow at Stanford University, 1996-1997 and edited quarterly journal of the Society of Environmental Journalists, 2000. He has a B.A.in History from Princeton University.
