All entries must have been published between June 1, 2001 and May 31, 2002 and must be submitted, by the deadline date, on a print format (either the original or a legible copy) and on an electronic format (in a disk or via e-mail). Entries that fail to meet this requirement in a timely fashion will not be accepted. The deadline for entries is June 2, 2003.

JUDGING AND SELECTION

The submitted articles will be reviewed at the contest website. A jury of five people, representing different international journalism and conservation organisations such as the International Federation of Environmental Journalists (IFEJ) and the International Center For Journalists (ICFJ), will judge the entries. Each participant can be awarded only one prize. The results of the contest will be announced publicly through the national media and contest web site in early August 2003.
